In December 2015, Solomon Corporation and Maddox Industrial Transformer announced an expansion of substation rebuild and repair services in Solomon Corporation’s Georgetown, TX, 90,000-square-foot facility. Expanded services are a joint effort between the companies and will offer commercial and industrial customers located on the Gulf Coast and in the southwest region the speed and convenience they desire.
Solomon’s business presence in Georgetown started in 2007. The facility is staffed with experienced technicians tasked with the handling and testing capability to repair, rewind and recondition liquid-filled transformers up to 10MVA at 69KV. Georgetown is an EPA-permitted Commercial Storage facility with NELAP-certified Lab Services on site. With significant work already in progress, the expansion will focus on building inventory to serve the customer’s needs of both Solomon and Maddox companies.
Development of the Georgetown facility builds on the previous alliance between Solomon Corporation and Maddox Industrial Transformer announced in October 2015. The alliance is a benefit to the customer base of both companies, improving fulfillment, purchasing, and inventory management. Ownership of the two companies remains independent.
